It has been a while since I wrote on the blog. A long time. I have had plenty to say, I just didn’t take the time to type it. No excuses, just laziness. I’m back now. I want to address Michael Jackson’s death, RIP. Why is it that we recognize greatness after they are dead? Since MJ has died, his music has been selling like crazy. At first Billboard would not recognize his sudden takeover of the charts because they said it reserved for new entries but now they are. Again, why did people decide to go out in the masses to buy his album after he died??? While he was living, we heard countless reports of MJ struggling to pay for the Neverland Ranch, and nobody was running out buying his album then. That’s when he could have used our monetary support. What do people think; that he is going to take the money with him to Heaven??? Another thing that bothers me, why is it when he dies a congresswoman decides to create a resolution to honor MJ?? Most of his accomplishments, if not all, did not happen in last few years that he was alive. He was unarguably great since Thriller, when he had 7 number one singles. But once he added global humanitarian, a resolution should have been created shortly after that. Why didn’t we show the appreciation before he left us? And why is it that now that the idea of creating a resolution has been presented it so hard for it to pass? There are only 2 supporters of it. He has done so much musically and for the global community, why doesn’t he deserve props? As one senator expresses, it is because “he is a child molester”. He was not guilty of that charge, so why is this senator holding this against him? Of course MJ, has done some sketch stuff (i.e. dangling a baby over a balcony) but we all have had our moments so who are we to judge. And whats up with people trying to tear the man down? There is a story out about how MJ had a patent for special shoes and a dip in the floor in order to do his special lean that he used to do. Why are we killing the magic? Or stories about him using drugs, who is the real father of the babies and the worse one yet, a book that is going to be published that reveals personal details of his relationship with his supposed partner despite signing a confidentiality contract. Its a shame that anything that is or perceived as dirty laundry is being hung out for the world to see. Even if these stories are true why are we indulging in stories like that? If you didn’t have the balls to say these things while he was alive, don’t say it now and slander his name when he can’t even defend himself!
Yeah I said it, and MJ was a regular on my workout playlist before he died! PYT is my favorite MJ song of all time!!!
